Easyhealth.org.uk

Easyhealth.org.uk is a website made by Generate (who work with people with a mild or moderate learning disability) and sponsored by Mencap. It was made to make it easier for people to find health information that is easy to understand. They have collected together leaflets about dying and lots of other health topics.

Mencap

Mencap have developed a best practice guide for the provision of end of life care for people with a learning disability, called ‘Living and dying with dignity: the best practice guide to end of life care and support for people with a learning disability’.

The best practice guide offers help and guidance to health and social care professionals, service developers and providers to ensure the best quality of end of life care for people with a learning disability.

Also available is an easy read leaflet. In this leaflet you can read about 12 things that help people with a learning disability to live and die with dignity if they have a life-limiting illness.

More information about the project can be found on Mencap’s website.
